Yes — our standard plug-in diagnostic check to read your car's fault codes and warning lights is free. We then give you a written quote to fix the fault, with no obligation to go ahead. More involved investigation (like strip-down or extended fault-finding) is quoted separately and agreed with you first.
Can I drive with the engine management light on?
A steady amber light usually means you can drive carefully to a garage; a flashing light means an active misfire — stop as soon as it's safe and call us, because continuing can destroy the catalytic converter.
Is a diagnostic check just plugging in a code reader?
No. Fault codes are the starting point, not the answer. We interpret the codes, live data and physical symptoms together to find the actual cause — so you don't pay to replace parts that were never faulty.
